I have been finding some great music these days, and I wanted to share my 25 days of Christmas music with you! Enjoy!
In November, I had the opportunity to sing in the Messiah. I also had the opportunity to sing a solo – not anything I thought I would ever do. But I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to sing, and to sing THIS song. . . . I know that there is a copy of our performance . . . but I don’t know if we have permission to put it online, I also don’t know if I am confident enough to put it on here, I also know that the quality is not great – so. . . . those are my excuses, and I am sticking to them!
I went looking for someone else who sang the same song that I did, and I found Barbara Bonney – WOW! In this clip she sings both the alto part, and the soprano part! I am in awe – just sad that the video is out of sinc. . . . . so close your eyes and enjoy the music.
I had a great experience singing the alto part of this song. . . I felt the truth in the words – it was my Christmas gift from on high – a tender mercy – something that I needed to remember – how gentle He is, how much he loves each of us. . .
