I love it!<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I got this book (The happiness project) for Christmas, and I am trying some of the things in the book. . . it is great &#8211; I love the structure of it!  So, I just had to share this little video clip.  <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So a quick update in our long days\/night and short years. . . . <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Yesterday Emma was on a ski trip with the grade 9&#8217;s ( yes, years are short moment &#8211; she is in grade 9!)  She had a collision with the snow and her face, and had a bit of trauma and drama.  We took her to the hospital last night, and spent 2 1\/2 hours there (days are long).  Found out that they won&#8217;t and can&#8217;t do anything until the swelling goes down, so we have to give it a couple of days and then see what the damages are.  She has a constant headache, her neck is sore and her nose is swollen, and starting to turn some lovely shades of green and purple.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So, Duane brought Emma home about midnight and just climbed into bed, when Kate began to cough or bark &#8211; I know that sound &#8211; she has croup.  But I have never had a kid wake up in the night without any warning signs &#8211; no cold, no cough in the day &#8211; just bam &#8211; she was wheezing and barking!  (and crying) &#8211; ( another &#8211;  nights are long moment) We got her up, and her lips were blue &#8211; she was not doing well, we ran her into the hospital 5 minutes after just being there &#8211; unbelievable!  She got right in, no waiting &#8211; amazing what blue lips will do ( they weren&#8217;t blue when we got there, but she was really wheezing.  So we did the croup thing, and then I had to stay with her there for 2 hours.  She slept &#8211; I layed with her. . . and closed my eyes a bit.  Just after 2am &#8211; they let us come home. . . she wanted to sleep with me &#8211; how do you say no to that!  Then at 6am, she was rarin&#8217; to go &#8211; amazing!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This morning we spent the morning at the dentist for check-ups.  Clara got her crooked baby tooth pulled out, I made 4 follow up appointments for fillings &#8211; oh the fun of having a big family. . . <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The days are long, but the years are short!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The days are long, but the years are short!
