Charlie was always positive and enthusiastic. After he&#8217;d lost an eye and was dying from cancer he still stayed cheerful. Despite all his problems, people surrounded him because of his joy. How come he never got depressed? Charlie gave me a big smile, looked me straight in the eye and said with a smile,&nbsp;<em style=\"font-size: 15px;\"><strong>&#8220;I lie.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;What a great guy!<\/p>\n<p>The truth is&#8230;no one is always up. Charlie hurt. I hurt. You hurt. As the poet Longfellow observed,<em>&#8220;Into every life some rain must fall.&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;But some people seem to wallow in the mud puddles while others dry off fast and get going again. We decide our attitudes.
