I know I don&#8217;t live by the ocean, where I can ride my bike, swim or run outside all year long,  but there are great things about where I live &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>and I am determined to discover them. . . .<\/p>\n<p>after IRONMAN ( ha ha &#8211; still procrastinating. . . . )  Seriously though.  I am so grateful that I was able to see and live life through tourist eyes, so that I could see the positive about where I am planted. . . . <\/p>\n<p>I am also so grateful that I am &#8216;alive&#8217;. &nbsp;The last 5 years of my life are so different, and I truly feel alive now &#8211; &#8211; here are some of the things I was able to do, that would not have been possible. . . .<\/p>\n<p>Run in the Taiwan Mountains<br \/>\nClimb the Taiwan Crags<br \/>\nSoak in the secret hot springs and stand in a waterfall<br \/>\nBike to the ocean<br \/>\nGo to the temple in Taiwan<br \/>\nGet a hair wash ( which is really just a massage &#8211; LOVELY)<br \/>\nGo for Indian Food<br \/>\nGo for all kinds of great food<br \/>\nSwim at the American Club<br \/>\nGet a tour of the American School<br \/>\nSpend time with Carrie and her family at their home in Taiwan<br \/>\nShop for fruits and vegetables in the market in Taiwan<br \/>\nRide the scooter with Carrie<br \/>\nMeet Koda<br \/>\nBuy Lilies from a lily field farmer on the side of the road<br \/>\nMeet Carries wonderful friends and neighbors<br \/>\nSet off a lantern<br \/>\nSee a really cool waterfall that looks like a mini Niagra Falls<br \/>\nRide the train<\/p>\n<p>I am sure I am missing things &#8211; for photos, check out my <a href=\"http:\/\/ironmomme.blogspot.ca\/2012\/03\/35-weeks-till-ironman-taiwan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ironman blog<\/a>&nbsp; I hope you enjoyed the song, and that you are enjoying &#8216;being alive&#8217; too!<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So one of the things that I learned on my trip was that I really want to live life like a tourist &#8211; &#8211; see it all, do it all, and enjoy where I live.
