So, a little background information . . . . ‘Rags’ is a Nickelodeon movie that just came out on TV a couple of weeks ago. We don’t have a TV. So, we did not see it. BUT . . . . as we listened to the music, I was intrigued to learn more about it. . . so, I learned that ‘Rags’ originally was a musical ( I LOVE musicals) in NYC (oh, I really love NYC) on Broadway (this has a lot going for it!!) in the 80’s (Oh, I survived the 80’s!) and the lyrics and music was written by . . . . wait for it . . . the one, the only, the amazingly introspective Oscar-winning lyricist Stephen Schwartz,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>STEVEN SCHWARTZ! <\/p>\n OK, OK, you are probably not all crazy NYC, BROADWAY, MUSICAL, STALKERS. . . . but I hope you have heard of “WICKED” (only my favorite musical of ALL TIME). And I love a LOT of musicals! The lyrics and music for ‘Wicked’ was written by Stephen Schwartz. . . . I do love Stephen Schwarts!<\/p>\n There are a few songs from this musical that I am growing quite fond of. . . . this is the first one that I will share with you. <\/p>\n Remember – happiness is what I can’t live without it’s time to STAND OUT! <\/p>\n Oh, small annoying thing about this you tube video. . . you will not get any sound until 30 seconds in. . . so you can skip forward or just enjoy the silence and the anticipation!<\/p>\n \n
