Easter Sunday – I love Easter Sunday. It has the same wonderful feeling of Christmas, but I don’t make a big meal, or buy presents, or baking, but we still get AMAZING music! Thank you again to Elizabeth for sharing this song on facebook – I too have been listening to it over and over and over – I can’t get enough of it!!!!
Did you notice how young the conductor looks?!?!? Wow, I found this little video with him speaking, and he says it all when he says “I think the reason it has eluded me for so long, is due to it’s really profound and sacred subject matter and on top of that an ever-present fear that I won’t do it justice.
I believe that is how it is for all of us. . . but we need to realize who we are, and whose work we are doing, and not hold back – give it our all – like the singers in this group! Wow….it makes me remember the scripture
“God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.. . . so good to remember!
The other thing he says that sums it up for me is “Right now the world is in desperate need of hope, and I sincerely believe that through the power of good music we can remind ourselves where to find it..”
So after you listen to this second video. . . . I would suggest you listen to the first video – Hosanna – again! That is what I am doing!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it 🙂
Thank you Liz and Trish for this. What a perfect touch to a great Easter Sunday.
