This is the reason for the season

Today is the day that we celebrate our Savior’s birth.
I thought this song was appropriate as the last song for my 25 days of Christmas music.
Away in a manger is probably my favorite Christmas song
– If I had to pick – which is very difficult for me. . .
this song is so calm and it brings a tear to my eye every time I hear or sing the words…
be near me Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay, close by me forever and love me I pray….
That is my prayer this year. That we (I) can draw closer to the Savior,
and in turn feel the love that he has for each of us (for me) individually – forever
– to KNOW that he loves ME and to feel ‘his rest’ daily.
