Alyssa Bonagura – I make my own Sunshine (Lyrics)

Posted on May 14, 2012 by Duane

Happy Monday!

So I am outside watching my 4 year old jump through the sprinkler, and then running over to the rock to dry off.  She says . . . “it’s like I’m having a shower in the rain!”  She makes her own sunshine.

I don’t think May 14th could be any more beautiful!

Some things I love about this song!

1.  She is playing the ukelele – cool!
2.  It helps me remember that I make my own sunshine!
3.  She is a brand new artist that I’ve never heard of before and she has some other GREAT songs coming out!
4.  Duane found this song for me.
5.  the lyrics . . .’nothing can phase me, I make my own sunshine’
6.  That this is really where I am at these days – not just trying to make myself believe it, not faking it, not putting on a brave face. . . really truly.
7.  If someone would have played this song for me when I was dealing with my own “depression”  I would have killed you with my dagger eyes.
8. Today. . . .  no dagger eyes – phew!
9.  “Got a fresh new start – it’s a brand new day” (also the name of my blog – I think that is definitely worthy of being on the list!)
10.  more great lyrics “There’s nothing, no nothing that can stand in my way!”
