My Favourite Time of Year – The Florin Street Band (Christmas 2010)

OOOHHHHOOOHHOOO!! Listen to this new one! Oh how I love his deep LOW voice!!!

When carol singers gather round,
When I hear that festive sound,
I wanna join with them and sing –

They sing a merry song and we all sing along,
A festive melody that tells us Christmas time is here!

The Florin Street Band is the creation of one of Jamie Oliver’s childhood friends, composer, Leigh Haggerwood. Earlier this year Leigh put together a band of musicians to record a traditional-style Christmas song he’d written called ‘My Favourite Time of Year’. The song is an epic production featuring 36 musicians including The English Chamber Choir. The accompanying Victorian-themed video is creating quite a stir because of its elegant cinematography and beautiful location, Blists Hill Victorian Town at Ironbridge in Shropshire. What’s even more impressive is that Leigh did it all by himself without record company backing! For the rest of this article check out:
