Ok, so 2 weeks later, here is Part 2 – the last 8 days of our 18 day Christmas Adventure –
and . .
A Brand New Year – –
2012
Sunday Jan 1 – This was our first day of rest in 10 days! Sometimes I am really grateful for Sundays – today was that day. We went to church in San Antonio with Grandma and Grandpa – and we took a picture at this great tree! Isn’t it amazing? The sheer size of the thing – Clara wanted to climb it, but she was in her dress. . . . maybe someday . . .
Monday Jan 2 – I can’t believe this is going to be our last day in San Antonio. We went to the Alamo, and then we we tried to get an Ironman ring made for me at the Mexican Market – but Mr. Ringmaker was gone . . 🙁 So, Duane and I got on a rent a bike and biked back to meet the rest of the family – that was cool. We ran a couple of last minute errands, oh, and we got Duane’s hair cut (shaved) . . . . What an adventure!
At the Alamo – our last tourist adventure |
Our bike adventure in downtown San Antonio – – – memorable for sure! |
Ok, still on Jan 2 – Duane’s Big Hair Cut!

Ahhh – the new Duane Beazer – – he’ll always remember what he did in Texas to start 2012! |
Tuesday Jan 4 we got on the train @4:30am – an early start to a long day.
Wednesday Jan 4 – Did some shopping at trisports.com warehouse. Stopped at Sabino’s Bike shop, and got new bike shoes ( THE bike shoes) and a helmet – and amazing advice from one of my new favorite people ‘Jason’. Ate at eegee’s (an eegee is like a slurpee? But cool flavors like pomegranate and pina colada, and lemon). Came back to the hotel and swam in the pool – it was sunny and warm and lovely! Decided that we needed to stay in Tuscon one more day. Oh, and we ended the day with a pedicure and painted nails – Perfect! When we told Kate it was time to go today she replied with ” We can’t go yet!! We need to have more FUN!” We agree.
We definitely need one more day here!! |
