This is the 3rd Time this song has made the list, but today it is because Patricia and Mary are away to New Brunswick (2100+ Miles away) visting our good friends, and will be coming home in a few days.
It is interesting that two years ago I posted about this song (Holly Cole) version for a similar reason and when coming up with a song for Day 1, I found this version from Train, Enjoy the song for today as we start the #lighttheworld campaign. Day 10 – Two Thousand Miles – Today is a great day, I get to pick up Patricia after she has been away for over a week to visit a great friend in Hartland, NB, it is a little more that 2000 miles away, but the song came to mind. Patricia shared this on this blog 4 years ago, here is what she said about it.
“when I first heard this song. . . I can’t tell you the exact year – I guess if I looked back in my scrapbooks. . . maybe – anyways, Duane and I went to a concert of hers at Christmas time one of those years that we lived in Cochrane ( so we are talking probably 8 or so years ago ). It was sooooo lovely!”
